Hi! I have a question that's kind of a shot in the dark, but I'd still like to try to find any clues toward an answer.

I no longer live in the Syracuse area, but my parents still do. I'd like to be able to get my father a WCNY-FM or CLASSIC-FM t-shirt (he's a huge fan of both), but cannot find them anywhere! I realize that NPR stations sometimes give these as a thank-you gift for a pledge, but there's no indication of such a drive going on now, nor any indication of where I may purchase one. I'm fine with donating, as I do for my local NPR station (WUNC) anyway.

Do these exist? Does anyone know where I may be able to find one, without having to travel up there myself? I'm unable to find one online. I'm happy to call stores and/or make alternate shipping arrangements if necessary.

Also, pretend that the above question is re-written with WRVO exchanged for WCNY. The same question still applies - either is fine.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

pledge season ended about a month ago, at least for wrvo. i think your best bet would be to call the stations and let them know your situation? they may be able to help...

I actually work in the membership department at WCNY! But my boss is the one who would be able to decide what we might be able to do as far as a t-shirt goes. Shirts aren't generally something we do as merchandise that can be purchased from the station. Is that the only thing you might be interested in? Because we also have things like travel mugs, tote bags, messenger bags, keychains, etc. Most likely we would offer a gift with a $52 basic membership ($35 for seniors 60+). The membership could be part of the gift to your father as well. I can ask my boss specifically about possible clothing options on Monday when we're back at work.

Thank you! This is exactly the sort of thing I was hoping to find! I ended up finding something to get him instead of the shirt. But this is very good to know.

(The issue is that he lives in an assisted living facility and doesn't get out often, so many of the "on-the-go" things that are normally popular pledge gifts aren't very useful to him anymore. He really likes shirts that show off things he's interested in or has visited.)
